What a day! We started at 8.30 and didn’t get back to the apartment until 17.00. Over 16 kilometres (10 miles) hiked, with 1300 metres of ascent, which was very steep in places. We have never seen as many wild flowers as we’ve seen on today’s walk… 100s of varieties in a multitude of colours, including many plants that we’d usually only see in gardens at home.
