Yesterday, we moved campsite to be nearer to the aquatic stadium at Vaires-sur-Marnes where, tomorrow (Monday) we’re going to watch the kayak cross finals. Kayak cross is an exciting, fast moving event, with 4 kayakers racing side by side in each heat, and we’re really looking forward to seeing it live. On Wednesday we have tickets for weightlifting in Paris South Arena 6 and, on Thursday, we’re seeing sport climbing in Le Bourget.

Today, we’ve spent time working out how we’ll get to the events which are in different areas of Paris. Getting to the stadia involves a mixture of cycling, main line trains and the metro, so the logistics are complicated.

Yesterday, we wandered around the Jablines Île de Loisirs where we’re staying. There are several lakes here, and lots of leisure activities are available. We found the pull up bars, where we plan to do a workout… not that it’s happened yet! 😏 In our defence, we’ve had a lot to do, it’s very hot and, today, we did cycle to Esbly station to check the route, so we haven’t been doing nothing.

We have watched a lot of telly over the last couple of days though. There are so many Olympic events that we like to watch, and so many British athletes competing. It’ll be even more exciting live. 😃
