2nd August 2014: Santillana del Mar, Santander and the boat home

Today, we woke to better weather and drove down to the seaside for breakfast.

Afterwards, we drove to Santillana del Mar, which is a pretty, medieval town, with small pedestrianised cobbled streets and squares, and many historical buildings.

We also visited the torture museum… Nasty!

After a cold beer, we headed off to Santander, where we would board the cruise ferry back to England.

We checked in at the ferry terminal and then parked up and went for a walk along the seafront.

After a late and lovely 3 course lunch, we returned to the camper van to pack our bags for the overnight ferry and wait to board. Another fab holiday is coming to an end. But first we can enjoy the cruise home. We have a comfortable cabin, the food in the restaurant is good and we have plenty to occupy our time until we arrive back in England at 7.45 on Sunday evening.
