Heading home: Orsieres to Lac d’Orient

We had breakfast and waved the others off on the train to Geneva, before getting into Bertie and driving for about 6 hours to a nice campervan aire we’ve stayed at before.

The roads were busy but traffic moved well and, with a stop for the supermarket and petrol and another for lunch, we were soon at our destination. It was lovely and sunny, with a gentle breeze and, after parking up with lots of other vans, we had a couple of drinks in a bar by the lake… a lovely, relaxing way to spend an afternoon!

Unfortunately, there was no space in the restaurant for dinner so John got the Cadac out and grilled sausages and kebabs, while I made a salad. It was very pleasant sitting eating outside.
